What makes John Barrowman gay? PDF Print E-mail
Written by Andrew Shaw
Saturday, 26 July 2008

Actor John Barrowman (Doctor Who, Torchwood) went looking for answers to the big question ‘Why am I gay?’ on a BBC TV program aired in the UK this week.

The Making of Me looks at the defining traits of people, in this case Barrowman’s sexuality, using scientific and psychological tests.

“For as long as he has been aware of his sexuality,” explains BBC publicity, “John has been convinced that he was born gay and firmly believes that homosexuality is not a choice. But did nature really mould him or did nurture have a part to play?”

Barrowman compares his DNA with his straight brother’s, and takes to the streets of LA to try out a theory that the origin of homosexuality is linked to events in the womb that may affect the foetus.

Ok, what are we going to learn from the tests John had done, will people accept us more if it's found to be a gene that is natural and therefore we should be accepted. Or what? people just need someone to hate and religion gives them that outlet to use.
Why not place a straight person in the machine and find out why they think they have the right to hate us so?
