In celebration of the Thin White Duke turning 60 this year, the Rapster label has released this über-cool compilation of Bowie’s hits re-imagined for a new generation of androgynous creatives.
Thankfully, these covers are inspiring, unique and inventive reworks, adding new life and excitement to the classic tracks. It’s almost too eclectic to describe here, but imagine ‘Ashes to Ashes’ as fast and frenetic; ‘Life on Mars’ all dreamy and lost; ‘Looking for Work’ totally funked over and dancey; and ‘Sound & Vision’ standing tall and proud.
