Oh dear, I think I just fell in love (again). Not sure whether it’s Jamie’s drop-dead gorgeous voice, his come here and kiss me bushy beard, or the sultry man soul of this intoxicating album. Jim encapsulates everything that’s ‘right’ about music. There’s an emotion so real you can almost touch it; a funk so rich you can almost ride it; and honesty so fresh you will actually believe it.
When you add Jamie’s musical mates (Mocky, Gonzales, Peaches and Nikka Costa) into the mix, together with production by Justin (Beck and The Vines) Stanley, there’s nothing not to like about this album of sexually-charged gritty grooves. If you’ve been searching for a soundtrack to spice up your sex-life, get dirty with Jamie Lidell. Fuck yeah!
