LIOR [SENSO UNICO]
Seeing that Jack Johnson won’t dump his wife and run away with me, I guess I’m going to have my channel my energy on seducing the celestial Lior instead. Just like Missy before him, Lior earned instant public acclaim with the release of his debut album, Autumn Flow. And just like Missy now, this follow up album demonstrates a sophisticated musical maturity, career progression and artistic growth.
To put it bluntly, Endless Road is a magical recording of intuitive songs. Lior plays with the tension present in dynamic relationships, now richly orchestrated for maximum effect. The Jeff Buckley-esque vocal skills are a nod to the legend, as are the simplicity of the sometimes Beatles-eque melodies. Even Silverchair’s recent foray into ‘prog rock’ gets a look in via the melodic soundscapes presented.
