The ABC TV series The ABC of Dance 4 Film (pictured) is introducing the SMS generation to the idea that dance isn't just jumping around in leg warmers.

Dance can tell a story, dance can be incredibly subtle: the movement of a hand, the tilt of a head; the camera moves too, picking up on this, focusing the attention on that.

In this vein, the Salamanca Arts Centre presents the International Dance on Screen Festival, including global shorts, dance for kids and the Reeldance Awards. Go see how they move in the movies!
